St Andrew’s Hospice has launched a campaign to raise £1.8 million for a Building Expansion Project to be undertaken which will enable our Hospice to:

Consolidate and enhance existing specialist palliative care services each week to 120 patients from Lanarkshire communities.
Expand support services and facilities for the families of patients.
Create additional training and educational facilities to improve knowledge, understanding and delivery of palliative care throughout the County.
Increase Care at Home Services.
Add to the 20 beds currently available for patients suffering from cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

We are, quite literally, building because we care.

The building project is part of a strategy, which has seen St Andrew’s grow from a small Palliative Care Unit into one of Scotland’s major Hospices. The project involves some refurbishment of the existing premises and the building of an extension- the Hospice has already purchased adjoining land to enable this extension to be built.

Would you care to help?

St Andrew’s Hospice operates under the banner “Our patrons are the people of Lanarkshire” and we very much need the support of the Lanarkshire public to help us to help more patients from towns and villages across the County.

We are asking people of all ages to engage in fundraising on our behalf or to participate in sponsored walks, fun runs and road races organised by the Hospice.
We are asking businesses across the County to include our Hospice on their Charity agenda and to provide opportunities for staff to raise funds through work based initiatives.
We are asking business people and ordinary people alike to consider making a donation towards the St Andrew’s Hospice Building Fund Campaign.

Sponsor a brick for just £10

The proposed new annexe building will be three storeys high, requiring thousands of bricks, and we are asking people across Lanarkshire to help to put this vital building in place by sponsoring a brick or bricks for a donation of £10 per brick. We will acknowledge each donation by letter and, for posterity, we intend to record names and addresses of donors in a Patrons Book, which will go on permanent display in a prominent place within St. Andrew’s Hospice. Lanarkshire Businesses will be able to sponsor a brick or bricks for a donation of £100 per brick. People and Businesses alike are invited to help our £1.8million Appeal by printing out and completing the Sponsor a Brick Form and returning it to us.
