Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a very simple idea from Revenue and Customs, which enables St Andrew’s Hospice to reclaim the tax, from Revenue and Customs, paid on donations.

Revenue and Customs will pay St Andrew’s Hospice an additional 28p for every pound you donate! It is not often you get something back from the Taxman and this additional funding will be used to continue the provision of our Hospice services to the people of Lanarkshire.

In order for your gift to qualify for this additional gift aid you need to confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and pay enough income tax or capital gains tax to cover the amount of tax we will reclaim. (28p in every £1). This means a donation of £10 from you becomes a total donation to the Hospice of £12.80 If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can claim further tax relief on Self Assessment Tax Returns.
