Stephen Giusti works in Glasgow and has lived in South Lanarkshire with his wife and family for over 35 years.

"Living in South Lanarkshire for some considerable time I have been aware of the excellent specialist care provided by St Andrew’s Hospice and its high regard within the local community. I have visited friends over the years who have received the benefit of the high standard of specialist palliative care provided by St Andrew’s Hospice. Going forward, I wish to play a part in assisting St Andrew’s Hospice in dealing with the challenges that it faces in order to maintain and fulfil its role as provider of specialist palliative care services within Lanarkshire."

Harry McMenamin is a recently retired Optician who started and ran three Optician practices in Lanarkshire for over 30 years. This has given him an insight into the challenges in providing health care in the Lanarkshire area.

"I originally came from Clydebank where the sister hospice of St Andrew’s, St Margaret’s of Scotland, is based. From an early age I became aware of the excellent care provided by the hospices.

"Since living in Lanarkshire I have experienced first-hand the specialist care given to friends and family by St Andrew’s Hospice. Like most people I was unaware of the caring and comforting ethos within St Andrew’s until my first visit to the Hospice.

"I would like to contribute in any way I can to ensure the Hospice is able to continue this excellent service to the whole community of Lanarkshire."
