DESCRIPTION:You can support your local nursery or primary school\, as well as St Andrew’s Hospice\, by sending Teddy on an exciting adventure! \nTeddy Bear’s Travels is a unique event in which a nursery class\, infant department or a whole school can get involved. \nWe send all participating nurseries and schools an education pack and resources along with a St Andrew’s Hospice Teddy Bear. \nThe Hospice Teddy Bear is the focal point of the learning\, making it the perfect mix of education and fun. The educational resource pack is filled with activities and planning materials which link directly to the Curriculum for Excellence. This will enable pupils to discover about being Responsible Citizens\, Effective Contributors\, Confident Individuals and Successful Learners. \nParticipating nurseries and schools are asked to hold their own Teddy Bear themed fundraising activity to support St Andrew’s Hospice. \nIn 2019\, nearly 4000 Nursery and Primary 1 pupils took part in Teddy Bear’s Travels\, taking their St Andrew’s Hospice Teddy Bears on exciting adventures. DESCRIPTION:Teddy Bear’s Travels is a unique event in which a class\, infant department or a whole school can get involved. \nSt Andrew’s Hospice will send participating schools an education pack and resources along with a Hospice Teddy Bear. \nThe Hospice Teddy Bear is the focal point of the learning\, making it the perfect mix of education and fun. \nParticipating schools and nurseries are asked to hold their own Teddy Bear themed fundraising activity during the first week of May; however this is not restrictive and the beauty of this programme is that it can be done at any time of the year – helping suit the needs of Nurseries and Primary Schools. \nWith over 3000 pupils taking part in this event annually\, it is good fun and good learning all for a great cause. \n\nWe will send you your very own Hospice Teddy Bear which we hope will have an amazing adventure with the children in your nursery/playgroup/class\nWe will provide you with a free educational resource pack with lots of activities and planning materials which link directly to the Curriculum for Excellence. This will enable pupils to discover about being Responsible Citizens\, Effective Contributors\, Confident Individuals and Successful Learners\nPupils will be given sponsor forms (optional) and will be asked to raise money for St Andrew’s Hospice by taking part in Teddy Bear’s Travels\nDuring the first week of May\, we would ask schools to host a Teddy themed event at your establishment. If this time isn’t suitable\, we are happy for you to arrange another date that suits your school\nShare Teddy’s experiences with our Hospice team. DESCRIPTION:Event for Primary 7 Lanarkshire school children. \nCelebrate summer and sunshine with St Andrew’s Hospice by attending our Wear Yellow Walk. \nEvery year thousands of primary 7 pupils\, and their teachers don yellow attire and walk 6k around Strathclyde Park to raise money for the Hospice. \nThis event is truly magical for all school pupils attending as it brings together the young people of Lanarkshire for a great cause. \nUpon arrival at the park each pupil will receive a commemorative ‘Wear Yellow Walk’ hat which when worn by all attending is a magnificent sight – a sea of yellow.
