Shop Manager – Airdrie Furniture Shop

35hrs, 5 days over 7 (Saturday inclusive)

Monday to Saturday

 SAH Band 2 £16,744 – £18,673 per annum

It is anticipated this post may last 12 months initially

As a St Andrew’s Hospice Shop Manager you will recruit, maintain and manage a volunteer workforce to sell a range of products in the shop. It is anticipated that you will have experience in the retail sector.

You will take pride in maintaining a friendly & clean shopping environment, operate the till, bank cash, oversee accurate financial records, manage stock control for donated and branded goods and foster good links within the local community. This post requires flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, time management skills and the ability to supervise staff. You will be aware of market trends and be able to deliver an attractive shopping experience to build on the success of the other 13 hospice shops. There may be manual handling aspects to this role.

The Furniture Shop will liaise closely with the Warehouse & eBay project as the primary product is furniture.

St Andrew’s Hospice is a registered charity providing specialist palliative care for patients with life-limiting conditions which require complex symptom management, and/or end-of-life care. It is Lanarkshire’s specialist hospice and provides multidisciplinary support for patients, their families and carers. The service is provided completely free of charge for the adult population of North and South Lanarkshire and is open to all without distinction of race, gender or creed.
