Caroline Jack Mortimer – Rehabilitation Support Worker

I’m Caroline Jack Mortimer and I am delighted to invite you, your family and friends to be part of our very special Thanksgiving Thistle display, during our Celebration of Life event here at St Andrew’s Hospice this summer.

We are delighted to invite you to take part in our Thanksgiving Thistles event in two important ways:

  1. Firstly, we invite you to dedicate a Thanksgiving Thistle dedicated in the name of your loved one. Each name will be written on a Thistle which will be planted (if you so wish) in a beautiful display at our Hospice. Our hope is to create a beautiful display of many thistles, all coming together to create a beautifully vibrant scene.
  2. Secondly, we would like to invite you, your family and your friends to attend our Thanksgiving Service, to be held on the grounds of St Andrew’s Hospice on Thursday 18 August at 7pm. This event will bring together all members of our Hospice family in warm celebration of those who have passed away. After the service, you will be invited to collect your dedicated Thistle from the display and take it home to keep.

If you cannot attend in person, the service will be live streamed from 7pm on Thursday 18th August. Click here to view. The service will be available to watch for 28 days.

Please complete our online form, telling us the name (or names) of those loved ones you wish to dedicate a Thanksgiving Thistle to. We would also be grateful if you could let us know if you and others are considering attending the service.

There’s almost certainly someone special you’re already thinking of dedicating a Thanksgiving Thistle to. Just let us know their name and we’ll make sure they are part of our display.

I hope we have the pleasure of seeing you and your loved ones at the service in August.
