Closure of St Andrew’s Hospice Charity Shop in Hamilton
We are sorry to share that the St Andrew’s Hospice Shop in Hamilton will be closing its doors on Thursday 3rd September.
This decision has not been taken lightly but is essential following a number of significant issues with the property over the last few years.
We have been actively seeking new premises within Hamilton and will continue to do so. We are incredibly grateful for the support, generosity and loyalty shown by our customers, volunteers, donors and local community over the years. Your contributions have helped us raise vital funds and awareness for hospice care, making a real difference to the people of Lanarkshire who need and use our services.
While this particular shop is closing, our commitment to supporting patients and families remains unchanged. We encourage supporters to continue donating, shopping and volunteering through our other locations including Uddingston, Bellshill and East Kilbride in South Lanarkshire and our large Shopping Outlet in Coatdyke.
The Hamilton shop will no longer be able to accept donations from Tuesday 25th August to allow us to prepare for the closure. However, we do have amazing sales ongoing until the 3rd September as we prepare to close the shop.
Arrangements have been put in place with employed staff and volunteers who have made an outstanding contribution over the years so that they continue to work and volunteer with St Andrew’s Hospice.
You can find information about alternative donation points and nearby St Andrew’s Hospice shops here.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
