Leave a gift in your Will

Leave a gift in your Will

For many of us, a hospice will touch our lives, whether for ourselves, a loved one, or a friend, providing comfort, dignity, and expert care through life’s most challenging times.

But just as this incredible support wouldn’t exist without hospices across the UK, hospice care wouldn’t exist without you. If and when the time is right, please remember St Andrew’s Hospice in your Will.

How a gift in your Will can help …

“My husband was in the Hospice, and four days before he died it was our Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

We had booked a meal for family and friends at a local hotel and the Hospice staff helped us to get my husband dressed in his best to go for the meal.

When our daughter and son-in-law brought us back we saw that the staff had arranged to have his bed moved into a private room, where there was a bed I could sleep in and be near him on our last Anniversary. It was a very thoughtful thing to do and they also arranged for a special breakfast the next morning for both of us. This was only one of innumerable kindnesses shown to us, as a family, while my husband was ill.”

It’s these special moments that gifts in Wills help to make happen.

It is quick, easy and inexpensive to have a basic Will drafted by a qualified professional. When you write a Will and keep it up to date, you can feel secure in the knowledge that your wishes will be honoured after you are gone and that the people you care about will be provided for.

If you have an existing Will but would like to leave a gift to the Hospice, you can do this by having a Codicil added to your Will.

Every Penny Counts

You do not need to leave a large gift in your Will to make a difference.  You can help by leaving just 1% in your Will so that those closest to you receive 99%.

By doing so, you can help us continue to provide this vital care, ensuring that everyone has the support they need for generations to come.
