Remembering

A gift to St Andrew’s Hospice in memory of a loved one can help their memory live on by giving care, support and comfort to anxious patients, exhausted carers and grieving families in the future.

This could be a single or regular gift, or perhaps a donation on a day special to you or your loved one.

Donations in lieu of flowers

Many people prefer to ask friends and relatives to make a donation to support the work of at St Andrew’s Hospice in lieu of flowers at a funeral service.

Funeral directors are usually happy to collect the contributions and take responsibility for forwarding them to us.

You can also request a St Andrew’s Hospice collection box which can be used to collect donations.

If this is something you have considered, we are also happy to provide a supply of Gift Aid donation envelopes, allowing us to claim Gift Aid on the donation, thereby increasing that donation by 25% .You may wish to distribute these to family and friends who cannot make the service. The envelopes can be collected in or forwarded to the hospice at any time.

For more information or to request a collection box or Gift Aid envelopes, please contact us online or call our Fundraising Team on 01236 766951.

Tribute Giving

Tribute giving is an ongoing way of remembering a loved one. There are websites, such as JustGiving, where you can set up your own tribute page for your loved one.

Your tribute page can include information and photographs and allows people to make a donation to St Andrew’s Hospice in your loved one’s memory as well as leave a personal message. You can watch the fund grow as people donate online and Gift Aid can be claimed on all donations made by taxpayers which boosts the fund even more.

Another way of remembering your loved one is our annual Light Up a Life campaign at Christmas time.
