Hundreds go the extra mile for St Andrew’s Hospice

St Andrew’s Hospice held its 9th annual Ladies Midnight Walk on Saturday 17th June this year.

600 ladies completed the route which started at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility and continued through Carfin, New Stevenston, Holytown, Mossend and Motherwell.

The ladies took part in a Clubbercise warm-up and danced along with Britain’s Got Talent favourite Edward Reid before making their way to the starting line.

John Brady Head of Fundraising said: “We know that many people go the extra mile to raise money for St Andrews Hospice – in this case 13 extra miles!

“I want to say a huge thank you to our sponsors UIS Underground Inspection Services and all the ladies who took part in the walk to raise much needed income for the Hospice. We hope to have raised £80,000 this year which is vital in enabling us to provide a high standard of specialist palliative care to the people of North and South Lanarkshire.”

St Andrew’s Hospice would also like to thank its staff, volunteers, and everyone who helped make the night such a success.
